A young poultry farmer is flattered and persuaded into financing a film production. He attempts to interfere in the direction, is swindled and left in the lurch but eventually manages to turn the tables on his former associates.

A Liverpool gang member wins a singing contest is then called up for National Service where he clashes with another soldier.

Entertaining ensemble piece dealing with several characters who are on the way to the races on Derby day. It cleverly blends dramatic, romantic and comic elements, including the woman and lover who have murdered her husband, and the working class couple who are excited about their chance to go to the races, but end up listening to it on the radio in the car-park because they've got such a bad view.

Two young officers in the Italian Royal Air Force (Knight and Stuart) compete for the hand of the attractive Elena (Greta Hansen) and find their comradeship strained as a result. Both try to impress her with daredevil aviation stunts which become increasingly reckless as they try to outdo each other in bravery. Finally, Knight goes too far and crashes his plane on a mountainside. Putting rivalry aside, Stuart risks his life to save his injured colleague, and both realize that their friendship is more important than silly squabbling over a woman. They leave the choice to Elena. A co-production between Britain's Teddington Studios and Italy's Pittaluga studios.
