When people think of the hip hop life, they think of the players - the men who shape the music and the blinged-out lifestyle that comes with success. The fact is the hip hop life is different for the women involved: the spouses, girlfriends or artists trying to define themselves in a world where men are still calling the shots.

Lexxy, a female trapped, and bonded to a man who she feels can possibly be her husband, and father to her child, takes her on a ride with lies, deceit, and betrayal.

Lexxy wants it all: money, love, kids, a home. She has got the drive, now all she needs is the path. After a stint as a party promoter and criminal, she turns to the music business. Lexxy forms a female hip hop group, with dreams of breaking into the industry. Things look promising until lies and betrayal break up the group, and dissolve all friendships.

Susan, Leslie, Imani, Deidre, and Elaine have been best friends since college, have an unbreakable bond, and won't allow anyone to penetrate their circle. They share secrets and keep each others indiscretion on the hush. They also share a lavish house they call "The Playhouse" where they entertain their side flings. When one night at the Playhouse turns deadly, the ladies scramble to cover up the crime and keep The Playhouse their secret domain.

A widowed mother reunites her family for Thanksgiving, but secrets will be revealed and family bonds will be tested. As the saying goes, you can't pick your family, but be thankful for what you have no matter what.

A man is on trial accused of the murder of two young Black men, and 12 women are called to serve on the jury. After deliberation, one juror is convinced the man is not guilty, while the majority claims he is guilty.
