Piotr is a psychiatrist. He is on night duty when a boy is brought to his ward. It is Kamil, the son he hasn't seen in years. The boy disappears from the hospital as quickly as he appeared. However, Piotr decides to get in touch with him. He invites him to his place and introduces him to his beautiful young fiancée. After Kamil's visit, the woman realizes that Piotr is a mystery to her and that she really knows nothing about him. And Piotr does indeed hide a dark secret...

He meets Adam and Zygmunt, former shipyard workers who are trying to start their own business. Stories of three women struggling with alcohol. Dorota is a great prosecutor. Using her immunity, she tries to avoid responsibility for her offenses committed under the influence of alcohol. Her husband, a famous politician, helps her keep the problem secret and rescues her from many troubles but he slowly loses patience. A respected children surgeon Teresa has lost her family due to drinking problem, all she is left with is her job at the hospital where she is the main doctor. The situation goes out of control when the woman comes drunk to the hospital. A student, Magda, likes to party hard and because she is a good student and has a great job, no-one opposes that. At one moment, the girl loses control. A tragedy happens.

Kasia (Klaudyna Lewczuk), a student of dance school, lives with her mother (Ewa Kasprzyk) in a large flat. One day her mother rents a room to the lodger – a sports high school student. Kasia and the lodger start to run an original friendship relation – without words and meetings. The film is based on the story by Bogna Hołyńska "Fresh paint" and refers to the Sixth Commandment "You shall not commit adultery." - as a part of film cycle produced within the project „Dekalog 89+”. Marcin Bortkiewicz is one of the ten young directors which has taken the challenge of making new film on the Decalogue Commandment's impact for young generations, due to the project made on 20th anniversary of launching the famous "Decalogue" by Krzysztof Kieślowski.

Tonia lives with her father and grandmother. Her mother is dead, her father is an alcohol abuser and he lost his job. His grandmother decides to send him to work on a construction site in Italy for three months. Tonia will do everything in her power to foil this plan.

Marek decides to make a documentary about his grandmother. She accepts provided she can fulfill her dream: play a vampire in a series of amateur horror movies. In time, Marek realizes that his grandmother is losing her memory and that he is making a movie totally different from the one he set out to make.
