On 12 November 2008, the first part of a two-part crossover between SOKO Leipzig and British police procedural The Bill was aired, with the same version being shown on both ZDF and British television channel ITV1.

But you can sense that something is wrong in the woman's parting words in the evening, and you soon realize why she seems so melancholy: The old man is suffering from senile dementia and has already forgotten his meeting with his girlfriend the next morning. And every day he begins to woo her anew, and she bravely continues to play her role. Until a decisive point.
