Os Trapalhões was a Brazilian comedy group and also a Brazilian television series created by Wilton Franco. Its members were Dedé Santana, Zacarias, Mussum and their leader Didi Mocó, that was played by Renato Aragão. The name Trapalhões is derived from the Portuguese verb atrapalhar, which means the opposite of helping, to do something the wrong way or to Those that confuse. The name is translated "Tramps" in English DVD subtitles. It was aired by Rede Globo from 1977 to 1999. On March 18, 1990, Zacarias died due to respiratory failure, but the group and the series didn't come to an end until July 29, 1994, when Mussum died due to an unsuccessful heart transplant.

"Lula, 'bon vivant' who subsists at the expense of small blows, goes on with his life without a present or future purpose. Basically, he just tries to forget having been abandoned by his fiancee Helena, who gave in to his father's imposition. The situations in which he gets involved from then on are paradoxical, trying to survive in the best possible way and spending money he doesn't have, but which comes to him in one way or another. On a day of complete despair, Lula meets a group of "hippies" and leaves catechized. Willing to anything, he becomes a preacher of new customs and new ethics of life. In turn, Helena, whose marriage had failed, dreams of meeting Lula again, hoping to return to his arms.

Lampião's gang raids a farm just as the wedding of Antônio Saraiva and the Baroness's goddaughter is being prepared. In the shootout, Lampião's brother, Ezequiel, is killed, and in revenge, Lampião burns the Baroness alive and orders the bride to be beaten. Upon arriving at the farm, Antônio discovers everything and vows to follow the gang's footsteps to hell. The cangaceiros continue their atrocities, robbing, killing, and looting, until a priest places a curse on Lampião. Antunes Filho's TV adaptation of Consuelo de Castro's play "Implosão" where the author draws a parallel between the first implosion of a building in São Paulo, the Mendes Caldeira building, in November 1975, and the collapse of a marriage, suffocated by economic needs and relationship problems that end up leading them from a progressive separation to a loneliness as a couple.

Young woman needs money to pay her mother's medical treatment. She gets a work in a bar that is, in fact, a cover for a prostitution net. She is drugged and raped while some photographs are taken, to be presently used as blackmail, to force her to work as a hooker. She accepts her fate but starts a serious relationship with a reporter, to whom she doesn't dare tell the truth. She wants to leave that life behind and get married, but the gangsters won't allow it. Until one of the girls decides to tell the reporter about the underground activities going on, and he calls the police.
