A parable about the human pursuit of the absolute, which often takes the form of a brutal rat race, inspired by Jacek Gaj's copperplate engraving Ladders. Its characters climb higher and higher, trying to reach a colorful mirage that appears from time to time. The goal will never be achieved, as successive "ladders" will only allow them to pass the next levels of their journey. What remains is the toil of Sisyphean wandering.
People carrying boards with the letter L unite with people carrying banners with the letter F. The vowel E is formed. They follow the man with the balloon and... fall into the abyss. A man tries to stop them. He rips off his T-shirt with the letter E on it. However, the vowel has left a permanent mark on his skin.
The beetle travels through the remnants of pop culture left in space to the Earth.
Abstract animation by Krzysztof Kiwerski, in which what appears to be some sort of maze-like mechanism produces sentient orb-beings that fall into a lattice of cells. Sometimes these orbs encounter one another, producing unforeseen consequences.

An anti-war poster. The words WAR, WAR flash across the screen. Meanwhile, in PEACE, the fate of the world hangs in the balance. It is decided by diplomats dressed in immaculately tailored suits, each of their gestures carefully considered. The moment the dignitaries turn and leave the room, they are equipped with military gear.
The main character of the film is a little boy named Marek, who from an enemy of nature becomes its devoted friend. Before this happens, however, fate plays quite a trick on him. At first, however, nothing foreshadows this. Marek arrives in the forest with a school trip. He quickly separates himself from the rest of the children, after which he gives vent to his hooligan fantasy. He destroys an anthill, cuts a tree with a knife, tries to catch a spider. When he fails, he starts chasing a butterfly. He doesn't know that under this figure hides the prince of white and black magic. Wanting to punish the unruly boy, the sorcerer reduces him to the size of an insect. Mark, reduced to the size of an insect, must learn to live in completely new conditions. This is by no means easy.

The engineer sitting behind his desk in his studio is tormented by visions and hallucinations, much like St. Anthony the Hermit once was. Women, apparitions, creatures, and skeletons from the paintings of Bosch and Dali appear. In the drawings he creates, there are more and more mechanical insects and birds, and finally, with the help of a computer, he manages to construct combat aircraft. He begins to control them. Explosions ring out. They are accompanied by the demonic laughter of the demiurge...

Following the success of "The Kingdom of the Green Glade" in 1994, the producers created a sequel. The story takes place in the middle of a forest, and the Kingdom is ruled by the wise Queen Bee. The fairy-tale insects resemble human characters in both appearance and character. The story carries an ecological message, due to the fact that the action takes place in a forest.
