Biography
Aramais Vardani Hovsepian (Armenian: Արամայիս Վարդանի Հովսեփյան), known as Arman Hovsepian (Persian: آرمان هوسپیان; February 21, 1921 – August 18, 1980) was an Iranian Armenian actor. He was born in Tabriz. He started performing in school theaters before he landed a major role in Namus in 1940 and entered nonprofessional theater. He moved to Tehran in 1954 and joined the theater group of Ararat Club and worked with celebrities like Joseph Vaezian, Samuel Khachikian, and Aramais Aghamalian. He made his first screen debut in Khachikian's first film, The Return (1953), and opted to act mainly in his following pictures: A Girl From Shiraz, Crossroads of Incidents, Blood and Grace, Storm in Our Town, A Cry at Midnight, and Apprehension. Arman was one of the distinctive actors of the 1950s and 1960s Iranian cinema, and the brand of characters he portrayed was mostly rich people gone bankrupt or confronted with serious problems. He tried his hand in directing and producing films with Bride of the Sea in 1965 and raised his production to five. The Tenant (1972) was another movie he directed, produced, and played. He was also the actor and producer of two films by Mohammad Deljou and Amir Mojahed: Cronies (1974) and The Night of the Loners (1975). He died on August 18, 1980 at the age 59 in Barcelona and was buried at Christian Armenian Burastan Cemetery in Tehran

Ghasem is a young gambler who makes a living by stealing old women's purses. His mother treats him kindly. But his father, a police officer, ignores him. His father throws him out of the house and Qasim moves in with his friend Aziz. Qasim steals Zari's purse, and a few days later, Zari, upon seeing Qasim, chases him and faints in a car accident. Qasim takes her to a friend's house, and Zari, after regaining consciousness, starts a brawl. The two gradually become interested in each other. Qasim steals the guests' purses at a party at her house, and Zari's stepmother sees him. Zari leaves her stepmother's house and takes refuge with Qasim, and Qasim marries her. Qasim, unable to find a decent job, robs a jewelry store after discovering that Zari is pregnant and is killed by a bullet fired by his father while trying to escape.

Tehran, an Unfinished History
Three poor men encounter a blind girl, and because the girl doesn't have any acquaintance they take her to their home and pretend that they are wealthy. The youngest man falls in love with the girl and it's also him who thinks of finding a cure for the girl and with the help of his two friends he is able to find treatment for her. In the day that is due for the girl to return from the hospital, they are worried that they might not get accepted because of their condition and status. But against their worries, the girl accepts them just as when she was blind.
