Ali Baba, a young woodcutter, with the help of his friend Miseria - a talking donkey - provides for his poor family. Smart and ambitious he works hard to get rich and to be able to marry his only love: Alia, the Sultan's daughter.

Director Zlata Potancokova Belli is behind this engaging, colorful animated tale. The story follows young Ali Baba who, with his little sister, embarks on a seafaring journey in search of his missing father and brother. Aboard a huge ship owned by the Sultan, they are hit by a tremendous and violent storm, and end up shipwrecked on a desert island.

In order to regain his lost youth, Kumaz the Wizard must marry the Sunshine Princess, daughter of the Sultan of Armenia. The girl refuses his proposal and the wizard takes revenge by turning her into an ugly, bad-tempered child. Misery the donkey and his master, young Ali Baba help the little girl to regain her former beauty and her true position as the Sunshine Princess.
