Supernatural: The Unseen Powers of Animals is a six-part British nature documentary television miniseries that was produced by John Downer Productions and commissioned by the BBC Natural History Unit, the same team behind the earlier successful shows Supersense and Lifesense. The program was narrated by Andrew Sachs and originally broadcast in the United Kingdom on BBC1 in 1999. The theme of the series was "the unseen power of animals."

The Australian pelican is built for long distance travel. One of the largest pelicans in the pelican family, with a light skeleton and a wingspan of over eight feet, it can be airborne all day and deep into the night, riding far and high on rising thermals. When rare weather systems bring heavy rains, huge numbers of Australian pelicans abandon the sea and coastal waters and embark on a mass pilgrimage to a place a thousand miles inland. It’s the last place you would look for one of their kind, the Australian Outback, one of the driest, hottest places on the planet.

Wild tigress, Machli, is one of three sisters raised in India's Ranthambore National Park. Their mother, "The Lady of the Lakes," ruled the lakeside territory, until Machli rose up and took possession of her mother's throne.
