After a plane crash in the Philippine jungle, two men, one an avaricious killer who has come to the islands to search for a fortune in diamonds, the other an international adventurer, must somehow overcome their vast personal differences and desires to survive in the steamy wilderness.

In the final days of the battle of Manila during World War II, fanatical Japanese naval forces barricade themselves inside the walls of Intramuros, the ancient Spanish walled city of Manila. In a suicidal last stand, the Japanese hold many thousand Filipinos captive within the fortress, despite the incessant bombardment of United States artillery. An American war correspondent, Murray, arrives at the front line where a guerrilla unit led by American Lieutenant Sorenson makes contact with a young Filipino fighter, Nardo, who has escaped the fortress through a sewer passage. Nardo proposes a plan to rescue the prisoners through the tunnel.

Because the old man had been trying to improve labor conditions for Filipino field workers, it is thought that the unsolved murder was politically motivated. This sparks labor riots.

A former smuggler finds his missing wife in Hong Kong. Marion has fallen in with a bad crowd and is involved with narcotics and stolen government bonds, requiring Stuart to extricate her from her woes.

A liaison between an older woman and her young lover is threatened when he fancies a young, rising actress.

Needless to say, he had a lot of followers who wanted to do the same.. take the excess of the rich and give it to the less fortunate members of the society. But eventually, the group starts to fall apart, when everybody start to think of their own interests. And only those with honest intentions will prevail.
