Brava Gente was a television series aired by TV Globo in Brazil between 2000 and 2003, initially as a special year-end. The program was adapted from stories and national stories, and plays by famous playwrights, screenwriters and signed by a number represented by several actors and actresses. The genres of the stories varied each week with the style of each director or author. Brava Gente in the stories ranged from comedies and dramas. In all 53 episodes were shown, broadcast on Tuesday nights.

For three days at the Copacabana Palace in Rio de Janeiro, amorous cross-fertilizations are intertwined with petty tricks against the backdrop of the famous carnival festivities. Three (sympathetic) accomplices are beaten to a punch in the hotel vault; three charming stewardesses are looking for entertainment, but their three Carioca host, musicians Tom Jobim, Luiz Bonfá, and João Gilberto, are married; a man, separated from his wife, wants to catch her in the act of adultery.

Somebody is selling songs for two recording companies, simultaneously. The owner of one of them hires a detective to find out the swindler's identity. But the private-eye is clumsy, and messes things up even more.

Professor Leônidas Jau is an enemy of football, and in conferences and articles he throws all his hatred against the sport. Friendenreich, his son, however, loves the sport. Leonidas then has a falling out with his son, which may be saved.

Coronel Januário's goddaughter, Maria Fausta, is having a secret affair with João do Carmo. While her godfather is engaged in his political campaign for mayor of the city, the couple disappears. Galdino, an accordionist who is secretly in love with her, goes looking for them.

In 1975, on his 70th birthday, Dr. Carlos Miranda watches a TV special about his life. Displeased with it, he uses his futuristic TV set to interrupt the host and provide his own retelling of the story to the audience.
