Amarasiri Kalansuriya (20 September 1940 – 1 April 2023), affectionately known as "Kalan," was a legendary Sri Lankan actor celebrated for his naturalistic performances in cinema, theatre, and television. He was a defining figure in the "golden era" of Sri Lankan cinema, often portraying relatable, everyman characters that resonated deeply with local audiences.
