Post Mortem is a 1982 Indian Malayalam film, directed by J. Sasikumar and produced by Pushparajan. The film stars Prem Nazir, Mammootty, Sukumaran and Balan K Nair in lead roles.

Usha, a classical dancer, gets molested by three young men on her way back home from a concert but Sreekumar saves her. Later, Sreekumar helps her in her career and gradually falls in love with her.

A couple decides to part ways due to unavoidable circumstances in life. However, their relationship gets a second chance as they cross paths again years later.

Savitri is devastated when she learns that her boyfriend Ramesh is a married man. She leaves him and returns home. He pursues her there but Savitri and her mother had already left for her uncle's place and he has no way of tracking her further. There Savitri gives birth to a baby girl who is given out for adoption by her mother and uncle. She's convinced that the baby had been born dead and is soon persuaded to marry the rich Surendran.

Raghu, Ramankutty, Vasu, Santhosh and Johny are best friends. Johny is the son of a rich entrepreneur who begs for affection and Raghu, is happy-go-lucky youth. Santhosh is a jobless youth who is looking for a job while Ramankutty wants to enter in the cinema field. Vasu is a caring brother who is determined to work hard and get his sisters married. Their life takes a turn when Prabha arrives in their locality. Prabha comes there for her heart transplantation. Prabha becomes their friends while the five youth fall in love with her. What transpires later forms the crux of the story.
