At the end of the year 1942 and the start of 1943, to stop spreading the revolution in county of Bitola, bulgarian occupiers are reinforcing the persecutions and the acts of violence on civil population.

In March 1903, amidst the crumbling Ottoman Empire, Macedonia remains unliberated, with its revolutionary movement burgeoning. In retaliation for supporting freedom fighters, the Turks besiege a wedding, capturing over two hundred villagers and sentencing them to lengthy prison terms. These prisoners are then transported to Asia Minor, enduring severe hardships and humiliation through the desert, with many perishing along the way before reaching their final destination in October 1908.

After a quarrel with his wife, a man leaves their apartment with one suitcase only. Having slept in a train station, the police legitimates him and found him suspicious. Soon he'll find himself locked in a prison with several other, mostly innocent people. The true horror begins only then.

A young man goes off to his military stint, leaving his father and wife alone in a remote forest cabin. While he’s gone the two try to fight against their mutual attraction.

Such an enterprise gets two villages in conflict over water rights, threatening to permanently turn people against each other. In the past, the territory had been occupied by the Italian armies, and a flashback shows a massacre in one village, a revelation that disaster has been a part of their history, in one way or another. No matter how he argues, the young man who advocated the watermill loses out to the builders of a dam - something that does not bode well for the low-lying village.

People need a leader. Someone has to lead them, even if he is sick. The man in black stands at the bus stop and warns anyone who comes to stand in line. The queue is getting longer. When the bus arrives, the man lets the people in line enter in front of him, and when he prepares to enter, paramedics come and take him away.
