John Cairns is a screenwriter born in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Cairns was a founder member of the Belfast-based writers’ group Screenwriters.ink. There, he met Michael McCartney and formed the writing duo Cairns and McCartney. He also co-founded Geronimo Pictures with another member, producer Michael Kelly.
