The Werewolf
Bain is in love with Alice, the niece of his employer Mr Borrow. However, Alice is already happily engaged to Clifford. When his boss dies Bain starts working for his brother William Borrow. When Bain sees Alice again jealousy drives him to plan Clifford's murder. He pays Cochise, an Indian, to do the dirty work, but Cochise kills William Borrow instead of Clifford. Clifford is suspected of the murder and will be hanged. However, Cochise confesses his crime when he is rescued from drowning by Alice. Clifford can be released on time.

Emil Kiznoff a German nobleman, marries Stella, a pretty gypsy barmaid. She reads his palm and warns him of a mysterious blonde. He laughs at her superstitions, but that night he meets the blonde. She is a high society gambler and in his new infatuation he neglects Stella. Gradually he becomes the tool of the blonde woman. He loses all his money and is forced him to steal a valuable diamond necklace. They leave for America and is soon followed by Stella, bent on revenge.

General Gordon, of the Federal army, receives a message from General Grant, telling him to intercept important dispatches "from Lee to Webber, carried over wires" in Gordon's vicinity. Lieutenant Barrett assumes the task, takes his instruments and sets out. Colonel Webber, of the Confederate army, has a daughter Edith. Lieutenant Fairfax aspires to her hand, but his attentions only annoy her.
