A young heiress leads a life of excess and wants to marry a man her rich father despises. When her father suspiciously dies, and someone tries to kill her, she surrounds herself with her cousins, friends and lovers, all possible suspects.

The young, married Marianne falls into the circles of partner swapping. Georg, her husband, accuses her of frigidity and uptightness. After an argument in the marital bedroom, they separate and divorce. Marianne soon meets Franz and his wife Judith, who need a certain stimulant to achieve complete satisfaction. Marianne is the perfect object for them.

Schuman and Oberhoff are successful hospital doctors who treat pregnant women. However, their personal lives are a mess. Schuman has to deal with his drug-addicted wife Claudia, while Oberhoff deals with his teenage daughter's pregnancy.

The days of the Schlosshotel Seefels appear to be numbered. Hotelier Theo Frobenius is forced to sell his hotel to group boss Mertens in the face of massive competition. Frobenius learns that Mertens wants to secretly inspect the hotel. In order to drive up the price, the hotelier wants to make him believe that the business is flourishing.
