A wife walks out on her husband. While he waits for her to return, the husband watches television, drives aimlessly around the city and writes letters to her. He meets her at a bar and gives her the letters in the hope that she will read them and come back to him. After a few days the wife returns. The man goes back to the bar and finds that his wife had left the letters there.

With confidential and unpublished documentation, the film shows the background and behind-the-scenes of the coup in Chile that took place on September 11, 1973 - and General Pinochet's dictatorship, which lasted 17 years.

In 1973, Chile undergoes a coup d'etat. 30 years later, it appears that it was - alongside with all the coups in the southern cone - organised by the CIA in order to stop the possibility of having a communist block on its south.
