Paraguay, 1958. The charismatic Narciso returns from Buenos Aires with rock ’n’ roll in his veins. Under the suffocating military regime, his radio show becomes a music sensation and a symbol of freedom.

Betty Jara reassembles the Yaguareté Commandos to exchange an imprisoned criminal for one of her own agents. A risky operation becomes even more so when she realizes they are not just fighting a drug ring but the highest spheres of power.

The Paraguayan railroad, created in 1861, fell in the late twentieth century in decline. Operated for decades by foreign companies and later by the Paraguayan State has been in a growing abandonment since the late 90s. Since then there have been projects of recovery, but the stations are empty and the main terminal was demolished late last year.

Three teenagers spend a summer together in the mountains. Tensions grow between them as well as violence which emerges at some point. The seriousness of the situations they experience and their consequences will be unsuspected.

Overava, which in Guaraní means shiny, makes reference to the treasures hidden underground in Paraguay in the mid-19th century, during the Triple Alliance War. According to folk tales, the owners of these valuables never unearthed them because they were cruelly killed during the war. However, their greed condemned their spirits to keeping watch over them. Lights, trees with blue flames, headless dogs and white animals show up at night during bad weather. Everyone knows about the legend, many have seen the ghosts, some treasure hunters go out every night searching for the gold that is hidden only a few feet deep, but few know the secret of how to create an emphatic connection with the former owners to get them to hand over the treasures.
