P.G. du Plessis

Kooperasie Stories was an Afrikaans TV series that was short-lived by the well-known Afrikaans author P.G. du Plessis was based. The series deals with the daily events and people in the village of Gezinasrus, which is discussed by three people who sit on the cooperative's porch every day.

Pandjieswinkelstories (Pawnshop Stories) is a South African drama anthology television series created and written by PG du Plessis and produced by Krisan Produksies which - in the vein of his classic series Koöperasiestories - tells a different story each week through the eyes of three central characters, who confide in the viewers about what they are watching.

Dryfsand (Quicksand) is a South African, Afrikaans-language television drama series written by P.G. du Plessis and produced by Andre Scholtz which revolves around a load of gold that was stolen from a small mining town. An airplane disappears without trace while ferrying a cargo of gold bullion from a small mining town. Carstens, the protagonist of Dryfsand, loses his job at the mine because of the incident, which is deemed a heist.

Tjokkie, his mother, and sister Tiemie live together on poverty row. Tjokkie has a gift of psychic ability and is prone to terrifying trances which allow him to see the future. His mother’s husband, a layabout called Giel Swart, sponges off her war pension. Meanwhile, Tiemie is in a relationship with an aggressive biker who has built a dangerous reputation around the suburbs.
