Venezuela, the mid-nineteenth century. The polarization between liberals and conservatives marked the political agenda. Inequalities of colonial society kept farmers and slaves under the yoke of the oligarchy. Ezequiel Zamora mobilized by deep ideals of liberty is leading a fight to try to erase social inequalities and distribute land equitably.

The film begins with a school teacher bidding farewell to his students, who are leaving for the summer. As he is heading home he notices two of his students are hitch-hiking and picks them up. He invites them over for dinner and lodging, which they accept.. The majority of the film from this point on is set at the mansion, where the two students turn from guests to prisoners under the teacher's command.

A specialized psychologist is called in to assess a teenaged girl who is exhibiting startling behavioral problems, but she comes to realize that the girl's issues may be out of her realm of expertise and rooted more in the spiritual.

Mexican feature film

On April 11th of 2002 a coup d'état against the venezuelan president Hugo Chávez Frías kept the country in a state of total uncertainty regarding his whereabouts, two days later he returned to power. This is a chronicle of those days.

written, produced, and directed by Rhoda Torres, tells the story of a UCV scientist, married and father of three children, and his wife, who commits suicide by jumping out of their bedroom window in front of their 14-year-old son. The young man tries to catch him in the air but he escapes due to lack of strength. As a result of the tragedy, the boy is left with a terrible trauma and feelings of guilt for what his father did.

It is 1995. The procession goes through the streets of a once prosperous town. Pueblo Rico celebrates the day of its patron saint, “Santa Rica.” The collective celebration serves as camouflage not only for a couple in love to sneak away to make love furtively, but also for the mayor to secretly introduce a load of toxic waste. The couple and the waste end up in the same hiding place: an old abandoned theater. This is how Ana and her boyfriend Froilán find out about the misdeeds of the mayor and his lover. In the midst of this situation, Froilán begins to irrigate his genitals with oil. The town believes that it is a miracle, turning Froilán into “The Irrigator,” a messenger of Santa Rica.
