To defend the humble Soró Sereno in a traffic accident, the mysterious Ciro Cerqueira, a bus driver, ends up getting involved with the traditional italian family of Mamma Vittoria Cantarelli, owner of a chain of canteens in which he starts to work as an executive, and is torn between the love of the matriarch's granddaughters, the responsible Luísa and the seductive Bruna, a woman who spares no effort to get what she wants.
Aníbal is a millionaire, knowing that he is going to die, invites a group of relatives and friends to stay at his luxury hotel. They are all linked to a mystery of their past. Some will be rewarded with inclusion in the will; others will be punished. To know who was his real friend and who harmed him, Aníbal starts to manipulate everyone, as if they were puppets.
Colonel Epaminondas is a retrograde and authoritarian man, who commands and dismantles the region. He declares war on Pedro Galvão, his main rival, when he donates part of his land – purchased from the colonel – for the construction of a church and a school. The arrival of professor Juliana, right at the beginning of the plot, changes the lives of the residents of the small village. Juliana takes over the school and ends up arousing the interest of Fernando, Epaminondas' son. Oblivious to the fights that drive the story are Pituca (Patrí and Serelepe (Aires Pinto). The friendship between the two children, however, does not please the colonel, who is always fighting with his daughter. 'Meu Pedacinho de Chão' was co-produced and shown simultaneously by Globo and TV Cultura in São Paulo.
Class differences and a childhood dream are the highlights of "A Patota". Juliana, Vicente, Pedro, and Tião are children who live in a village where the poor and the rich coexist. They dream of traveling to Africa. Teacher Neli, her boyfriend Jorge, and Professor Simões join forces to help them realize this dream.
An wealthy Italian immigrant from São Paulo, watches closely the suitors of his daughter Fiametta, whose two previous husbands "suffered accidents" because they did not bear good children. She can only get pregnant of someone who, like her, bears the blood of the rare K factor.
