Karl meets Nini at a Berlin train station: it is love at first sight. But the few hours they spend together before she travels back to Vienna end in a mishap in which Karl loses her phone number. He decides to move to the Austrian capital to find his dream woman again.

After a violent incident, Martha Müller is disillusioned with the teaching profession and decides that she does not want to get involved so much as a teacher. At her new school in Vienna, however, she is immediately confronted with a problem Ilayda. The 17-year-old Turkish student lives in Vienna with her very well integrated family. But she decided to wear a headscarf after her father's death. However, this distinguishes her more and more from her class.

In this case, Sascha Bergmann from LKA Graz and his colleague Anni Sulmtaler investigate the death of a young woman who is found by the novice Clemens at the foot of a staircase in the monastery library.

Georgy Hillmaier, single again, returns to Vienna after a long stay in Thailand. Completely penniless, without a job or place to stay, he ends up on the street until he learns that he has meanwhile become a father. In order to pay off the overdue alimony, Georgy has to get back into the call boy business in a brothel exclusively for women, run by his sister Gitti.

The Sackbauer family unexpectedly inherits a villa with a large garden in a cottage district in Lower Austria. The villa itself is in acceptable condition, but the garden is less so. Mundl quickly sets about sprucing it up with garden gnomes, lanterns, and lots of love.

A single long-range shot shatters the quiet of a country morning, leaving a beloved doctor dead on the steps of his family home. In the aftermath, a grieving widow and her withdrawn son cling desperately to the safety of routine. Meanwhile, a weary detective – mid-divorce and living out of a suitcase – is called to investigate, joined by a young colleague still reeling from a recent trauma.
