The film consists of three independent parts: "Workmate", "Déjà vu" and "Operation Y". The plot follows the adventures of Shurik, the naive and nerdy Soviet student who often gets into ludicrous situations but always finds a way out very neatly.
A seminary student on monastery holiday kills an old witch in a remote village. The hag then transforms into a beautiful young woman whose dying wish is for him to watch over her wake for three nights. With terrors occurring and his faith waning, he reads prayers on the overnight watch and tries to survive the supernatural encounters.
The beginning of the 1950s. Nikolai Babushkin, a young specialist in one of the taiga construction sites, who had just been elected a deputy of the district council, was sent behind a brick to the city of Dzhegor. He is already familiar with the bold project of the engineer Cheremnykh, according to which one of the shops of the brick factory can be transferred to the production of expanded clay blocks in a short time. To provide the construction site with the necessary material, Nikolai gathers a team and helps the inventor to implement the project. Shurik, a kind but naïve ethnography student, falls in love with the intelligent, athletic and beautiful All-Union Leninist Young Communist League member Nina. He has a rival in the wealthy comrade Saakhov, who concocts a kidnapping scheme to force Nina to marry him.
A diamond smuggling operation goes wrong when an ordinary Soviet citizen becomes unwittingly involved, and the criminals are forced to court him to retrieve their diamonds.
Zhamin, a member of a geological expedition and a former criminal, receives a strange letter, after which he quits his job and hurries through the taiga to a nearby station. In the city it is necessary to leave and his main enemy Legostaev, whom Zhamin has long threatened to kill. Zhamin comes to the station alone. He‘s found to have a bloody knife and a large sum of money with him.
In 1953, the year Stalin died, many prisoners (some political, but mostly common criminals) were released from the Soviet Gulags. This is the story of a remote settlement which was under attack by a bunch of these recently-released blood-thirsty thugs in the summer of 1953, and the townspeople, along with a two political prisoners, who try to stop them.
An old detective does not want to retire. The only way out is to prove to his boss that he still can catch criminals. The problem is that there were no crimes recently to work on. Together with his retired friend he decides to commit a perfect crime himself and then quickly solve it. Real problems start when a real criminal steals money he has stolen.
In a young anthropologist's dream, he brings a member of the imaginary mountain tribe called Tapi to Moscow, in order to save him from being eaten by other tribesmen as well as to prove the tribe's existence to academia. The main character is probably based on Yeti.
Serezhkin's service in the new district began in exceptional and dramatic circumstances. A zoologist who studied artiodactyls was killed on the stone shore of the Bald Spit. There's only one piece of evidence at the crime scene- a size 37 footprint. There may be a woman involved...

A musical melodrama and semi‐biographical portrait of Alla Pugacheva, here named Anna Streltsova, who repeatedly contemplates leaving the stage until she discovers her true style and songs. Along the way she endures a difficult marriage and divorce, embraces motherhood, and ultimately experiences a profound, life-changing love.
Moscow, XIX century. A small official Misha Balzaminov lives in a small house. He, like his mother, sees his happiness in marrying a rich bride. Misha images in dreams and fantasies that he is a general or even a king — rich and domineering. In reality, poor Balzaminov is haunted by setbacks.
The port town of one of the small southern countries. After the Nazi occupiers left, the port's berths were empty, the steamers did not smoke, cargo cranes stood. Fearing retaliation for collaborating with enemies, port owner Georg Stan fled the city. After waiting a while and securing the support of local authorities, Stan nonetheless returns - and loading operations begin in the port. While loading oranges, the sailor Yango and the beautiful Stella are preparing for the wedding. Suddenly, Stan makes a proposal to the girl and tricks her into agreeing. Upon learning of the deception, the girl runs away to Yango. Having discovered weapons intended to support fascism in the drawer of the hold, the heroes do everything possible to make the boxes fall to the bottom of the sea.
Civil War. Red Army commander Yakov Spiridonov falls into the White Guard rear, escapes and finds shelter in one of the ruined villages with a young teacher. He does not relax, but organizes a rebel detachment and before the arrival of the Red Army performs an operational combat mission to hold the bridge.
Further east of the Dark Blue Sky, where the Heavenly Horsemen fought, the story of a Czechoslovakian fighter squadron takes place, to which Second Lieutenant Jandak arrives as a rookie. He then experiences both his first love and a battle high above the clouds in the collective of combat pilots. Combat pilots on the Eastern Front thus experience similar stories to their Western colleagues, with the same goals and plans and the same slim prospects of survival in their daily life-and-death battles. Not surprisingly, they fought at a time when they had a common enemy, characterised by the Messerschmitt aircraft.
The events of a dynamic, action-packed film take place in the 20s. The main character of the picture is the red commander Rude, a man unrestrainedly brave, courageous and devoted to his work. His opponent is the cunning, insidious and elusive ataman Kudre. Tracking down his gang, Hamit at some point falls into a trap himself and becomes a prisoner of the chieftain.
An insurance agent who moonlights as a car thief steals cars various crooks and never from the common people. He sells the stolen cars and gives the money to charity. His best friend, a cop, is assigned to bring in this modern Robin Hood.
In the summer of 1942, the Soviet army is fighting the Germans on the Don River. Young lieutenant Ogarkov gets lost in the steppe and fails to deliver a redeployment order. For that, he is sentenced to death. Now, another soldier has to lead him across the steppes to his death.
Prosecutor's office investigator Vershinin is leading two cases - the murder of a notorious scoundrel and speculator, as well as the search for the author of anonymous denunciations against plant director Kuleshov, who is opposing those who, while shouting about perestroika, defend their own benefit.
