"16+" centers on a group of four friends – Māra, Mārtiņš, Edgars, and Pauls, who study in the same class. As the new school year begins, two girls – Laura and Amanda – join the class, whose arrival and attitude shake up the seemingly stable friendship. A series of events begins, in which everyone is drawn into it, and it is clear that no one will get out of it easily.

This film looks at the Brukna commune which helps addicts recover with hard work and lots of prayer. They spend their days restoring a church and offer a look at their past lives, which they’ve escaped for a moment.
