The documentary offers an overview on the transformations in the Brazilian socioeconomic process from the 30s to present day, with a group of economists and historians giving their commentary about the topics.

They usually get around on bikes or scooters, darting through the streets of major European cities to deliver goods to customers almost unnoticed. They do this illegally for large corporations. One of them is Omar, who comes from Benin. The young man lives in Porto without documents, works as a courier for one of the major restaurant chains, and every day risks being caught by police patrols targeting migrants.

An analysis of the ideas of economist Celso Furtado and his participation in several projects developed in Brazil from the 1940s onwards. Through testimonies from intellectuals and period images, an overview of Brazil's recent history is formed.
