The second part of a historical film dilogy based on the story “Emshan” by Maurice Simashko. XIII century. Equal to God, Sultan Beybars — the ruler of Egypt, who has the largest fleet in the Mediterranean, crushed the Crusader troops and countless hordes of Genghis Khan's descendant – recalls the life path he passed before ascending to the throne of the ruler.

In the besieged town of Khojent, famine begins. The leaders of the revolutionary committee, Kozyrev, Sattar, and Alim, with the help of the chief mullah of the mosque, Abdulrahman-khan, win over the local residents, defeat a group of bandits, and bring back bread to the starving people.

At the beginning of the First World War, Alexander Dragovich went to the front as a teenager. The October Revolution caught the hero in captivity in Russia. Like many of his countrymen, Alexander defected to the revolution. After becoming a chekist, Dragovich was sent to Turkestan. The film tells about the heroic struggle of a special purpose unit with gangs of Basmachi, spies of various stripes and saboteurs, about the adventures of the anarchist Kolya and the tragic love of Mushtari and Dragovich.

The film takes place in the pre-war years. NKVD captain Frolov is investigating a sabotage at a chemical plant. Suspicion falls on circus performer Erwin Gross. However, the villainous murder of a clown suspends the investigation. It is only with the help of young circus gymnasts that Frolov manages to establish the truth...

The fate of this large construction site is closely linked to the fate of many of the film's characters: correspondent Koryshev, who reveals the lies of his colleague Zurabov's ostentatious, slanderous articles; talented young engineer Karabash, whose advanced construction methods are supported by the construction site chief Ermasov; embittered old engineer Khorev, who, out of envy for Karabash, writes denunciations to the Central Committee of the party against him and Ermasov..

1948 year. The hero of the film Serdar recalls his childhood, which he spent in post-war Ashgabat. At that time it was truly an international city, united by the bitterness of military losses and the happiness of the Victory that had happened. However, the subject of memories, alas, is far from nostalgic feelings. Indeed, on that day, the Ashgabat earthquake, tragic in its consequences, took place, which claimed the lives of two-thirds of the city's residents.

The film takes place in Turkmenistan during the Second World War. Here, at a small railway siding, chance brings together Zina, whose husband disappeared at the front, Nadya from besieged Leningrad, and locomotive depot driver Andrei, who dreams of the front and the front line. The driver, having fallen in love with Zina, immediately proposes to her. But Zina does not consider herself a widow - and refuses her beloved. After which - to spite the whole world - the hero marries the silent Nadya and soon receives an assignment to the front. While accompanying a train with fuel, Andrei dies during the bombing of a railway junction, never having been to the front.

The year is 1943. A scientific expedition led by Professor Sagdulaev is working in the Karakum sands. In the sands, not far from them, a German plane drops paratroopers disguised in Soviet military uniforms. The saboteurs have a mission: to take explosives hidden in the ruins of an old fortress and blow up the strategic bridge over the Amu Darya. The members of the expedition engage in an unequal battle with the enemies…

Journalist Murad Yakubov wrote a feuilleton about the bribe-taker and slanderer Nureyev, using materials from the party commission. But later, after studying other materials, the hero came to the conclusion that he had slandered a man who was trying to expose the mafia led by the regional committee secretary Nazirov.

The film tells how, in the last days of the Great Patriotic War, a small group of Soviet soldiers took an unequal battle with the Nazis.

The film covers the period from 1903 to the mid-1920s. In the center of the epic narrative is the story of the difficult love of the poor Berda and the daughter of the shepherd Uzuk, who will be freed and made happy by the revolution.
