The story played by civilian players is laid in a Transdanubian village, where on the initiative of the municipality doctor the local inhabitants wish to build a social welfare home as volunteers, with the support of the local co-operative and the state farm. Having first consented to the plan, the leadership of the county starts opposing the project because of the plan to build a social welfare home called the City of the Happy Aged to be established by the county. Both parties take the field for their ideas and the battle starts.

El Cholo, a Peruvian taxi driver, flees from justice in his country and comes to Venezuela in search for a better future. After running into a gang of con-men who leave him penniless, he meets a peculiar group of Latin Americans who work for a gangster known as The Russian as hitmen. El Cholo is quickly trapped in a world of blood and ambition that makes him realize the true cost of life and death.

The Garrote Game, an art almost extinct due to its clandestine nature throughout time, contains a whole proposal of behavior, conduct and a philosophy deeply rooted in the roots of the Venezuelan people. Through the testimonies and games of some masters of this form of self-defense, we delve into this manifestation of national identity, as a phenomenon of oral transmission that has survived many generations.
