Biography
Born in Beirut, Joyce A. Nashawati grew up between Accra, Kuwait, and Athens. Her passion for film took her to Paris, where she undertook a PhD on fantastic cinema, but she left academia to make her own short films. Her first feature Blind Sun has won awards including Best Cinematography in Toronto and Brussels. Her next feature will be a Gothic horror.
