Skimo is the first Nickelodeon comedy sitcom made in Mexico. It is produced by Nickelodeon Latin America and Macias Group International. The show first aired on May 15, 2006, and ran at 8:00 pm for the first two seasons. In the third season of the show, it was moved to 6:00pm on Mondays. Now, for the 2007 summer-fall transition, the show airs reruns weekdays at 7:00pm; also, during the 2006 summer-fall transition, the show aired reruns on Mondays at 6:00pm; during the 2007 break between seasons 2 and 3, the show aired reruns of 3 episodes on Mondays at 6:00pm as well. Currently, it´s airing reruns on Nick at Nite block on Nickelodeon Latin America. The opening song for the show, called "Skimo Es el Lugar", is performed by the pop rock band Motel.

Matilde is a nun convinced that faith moves mountains. She secretly begins a mystic fasting to end what she considers to be the second great flood. A group of mariachis receives a letter to be part of the National Mariachi Contest in Mexico City. In order to be able to win they will need to travel together and solve their differences since their prime was 30 years ago.

Sebastian, a renowned orchestra conductor, loses his son in a motorcycle accident for which his wife blames him, leading to the family's disintegration. With the intention to recover his daughter's affection, he takes her to Guanajuato, where he has a presentation. However, the unexpected encounter with a mortally wounded old man, who asks him for help to fulfill his last wish, will involve them in that mysterious murder, starting at that point a battle against their conscience and their own survival... a dangerous race against the clock. When an eccentric millionaire dies, his two former lovers travel to Guatemala to claim their inheritance. But there are a couple catches. The two old flames have never met each other and, the Will stipulates that nobody receives any money until they can get the millionaire's favorite cow to mate. What ensues is a comedy of escalating hilarity as relatives, friends and strangers jockey to get themselves in line for a big payday. All the while the placid cow keeps her own council, waiting for the "right" bull to come along
