Rangadurai borrows money from Somasundaram to sustain his theatre group during a financial crunch. Enmity arises between the two when Rangadurai marries Somasundaram's daughter against his wishes.

Raghavan, hard of hearing and speech-impaired, falls in love with Ponnamma, a maid at a rich man's house. When the rich man abandons Ponnamma after seducing her, Raghavan decides to give her shelter.

Ten to twelve families from different walks of life, different age groups and different languages get together for a pilgrimage tour, starting from Tirupati and extending till Kanyakumari. The movie captures their experiences in the trip and how they develop oneness, with the common thread of religious bonding among them. The movie also highlights small anecdotes from mythology, thereby giving the movie a spiritual fervor.

After a break-up with her boyfriend and a troubled marriage with Ramanathan, Anu is devastated. She finds solace when she meets Janardhan however, her troubled past soon catches up with her.

Thangadurai does not talk to his wife assuming that she has cheated him. However, after many years of married life, he gets attracted towards Kanaga, who is after his wealth.

Venu is the owner of a glass factory and he goes to the USA for higher studies. But when he comes back he gets to know that the manager has been cheating the company and he makes up his mind to sort out everything.
