Shannon Knapp announced during Invicta FC 4 that the event will be headlined by a co-main event of Jessica Penne defending her Invicta FC Atomweight Championship against "The Karate Hottie" Michelle Waterson along with a flyweight championship bout between Vanessa Porto and Barb Honchak and that Sarah Kaufman would make her Invicta debut on the show. The show was originally targeted for April 13, however Knapp announced they would change it to April 5 after the UFC announced a show on that date.

UFC on ESPN 70: Lewis vs. Teixeira was a mixed martial arts event produced by the Ultimate Fighting Championship that took place on July 12, 2025, at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee, United States. A heavyweight bout between former UFC Heavyweight Championship challenger Derrick Lewis and undefeated prospect Tallison Teixeira is expected to headline the event.

UFC 247: Jones vs. Reyes was a mixed martial arts event produced by the Ultimate Fighting Championship that took place on February 8, 2020 at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas, United States. A UFC Light Heavyweight Championship bout between the current two-time champion Jon Jones and Dominick Reyes served as the headliner. The event will be headlined by Marloes Coenen vs Cristiane Santos to crown the first Invicta FC Featherweight Champion. It has been stated that the winner between Leslie Smith and Jennifer Maia will get a title shot against Flyweight Champion Barb Honchak

UFC 263: Adesanya vs. Vettori 2 was a mixed martial arts event produced by the Ultimate Fighting Championship that took place on June 12, 2021, at the Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona, United States. A UFC Middleweight Championship bout between then champion Israel Adesanya and Marvin Vettori headlined the event. The pair previously met at UFC on Fox: Poirier vs. Gaethje, where Adesanya won via split decision.

The Ultimate Fighter 26 Finale (also known as The Ultimate Fighter: A New World Champion Finale) was a mixed martial arts event produced by the Ultimate Fighting Championship that was held on December 1, 2017 at Park Theater in Paradise, Nevada, part of the Las Vegas metropolitan area. Sijara Eubanks was expected to face Nicco Montaño in the finals of the season to determine the inaugural UFC Women's Flyweight Champion. However on the day of weigh ins, Eubanks was ruled medically ineligible for the card after a visit to the hospital overnight for allegedly miscalculating her weight cut, which led promotion officials to replace her with Roxanne Modafferi. A women's flyweight bout between promotional newcomer Priscila Cachoeira and former Invicta FC Bantamweight Champion Lauren Murphy was expected to take place at the event. However, the pairing never materialized due to alleged visa issues for Cachoeira.
