The son of a shipowner is in love with a poor seamstress. When his father reacts to their love, he abandons his wealth and becomes a composer of a folk song, in order to live together.

Odysseus, a typical bourgeois, married and father of two, is working in the accounting department of a large company when he is suddenly fired, leaving him stranded. Now unemployed, with severance pay in his pocket, he wanders aimlessly around summer Athens. In his wanderings he meets a girl who represents for him the lost youth. He follows her everywhere, but every now and then he loses sight of her and worries. It's a wander from Athens to Hydra, and yet it's full of surprises, funny moments, but also suspense.

October 28, 1940. Along with the Italian army's attack on the Greek-Albanian border, Greece comes under fire from the Italian air force. The submarine Papanikolis, commanded by Captain Milto Iatridis and First Officer Vasilis Aslanoglou, is ordered to patrol the Gulf of Patras. Following the army's victories, the war council decides that it is time for the navy to enter the war and orders the submarine Papanikolis to patrol the Strait of Otranto. There, the crew captures the crew of an Italian ship and their engineer reveals the minefields of the Adriatic. Thus, the Papanikolis begins its mission. After completing its mission, it returns to its base, where it is honored.

Kostas and Aliki are somewhat different from the other seven members of their group, which is why they are called "the moralist" and "the down-to-earth one." One evening, Stelios and Stefanos lure them to a wild party at a villa in Glyfada, where the atmosphere is electric: dim lighting, provocative outfits, striptease. After a guest makes an overt sexual advance toward Aliki, the group leaves, but on the way, their car—driven by Stefanos—hits a passerby. Captain Angelos and the soldier Memos participate in a group of experienced ELAS's guerrillas. The team assumes the dangerous mission to reach the center of Athens, under the control of the English and the Greek regular army, and blow up the headquarters of the British headquarters located in the hotel of "Great Britain". When after a fight they manage to reach and place the explosives, the order is revoked. Their headquarters were afraid of the consequences of the possible death of British Prime Minister Wilson Churchill, who suddenly arrived in Athens and so the whole business was canceled.

Thanasis (Giannis Gionakis) succumbs to the pressure of his wife (Kati Lambropoulou) and buys an old car that turns out to be a shame. Until he can get rid of it and take back his money, there will be a number of misunderstandings and confusions, comic situations, and emotional fools.

A young journalist, Alexis, witnesses a political crime and is pursued by the killers. He then meets an unhappy girl, Marie, who has nowhere to sleep, and takes her home. He offers her support and treats her tenderly, but when he realizes that they are not compatible, he abandons her. The desperate young woman ends her life.

Orestes is a journalist who used to be part of a radical left-wing group. When two of the people who sent members of this organization to prison are murdered, the police accuse him of being responsible. He, being in a difficult and troubled psychological and ideological state, will accept the role of scapegoat.

Loukas, a petty crook in prison, tries to exploit his connections with his fellow inmates to get ahead when he is released.
