Across three decades – the 1970s to the turn of the millennium – the lives of three boys – Lars Rolsted, Jon Olufsen, and Martin Lund Jensen – are explored, teeming with grandparents, Marxists, expatriate Danes, stolen kisses, rockers, pushers and welfare clients, yuppies and small, polite suburban punks.

Three girls meet by chance in a hospital. Struggling to come to terms with their fate, they all look back on a decisive moment in their life: Sara, a professional swimmer relentlessly urged on by her ambitious father, was deprived of her only real chance of happiness. Mette has left her deeply religious family, finding it too hard to bear that they have accepted her fate while she hasn't. And Stephanie has brutally rejected her boyfriend in fear of being rejected herself. Lars lives a life dedicated to his disabled mother and his job at a petrol station. One day the girl he is secretly in love with, Julie, faints at his feet. Julie recovers but suffers from an acute psychosis confusing Lars with her deceased boyfriend Søren. Lars decides to take on Søren's identity and keep Julie locked in her psychosis. This is his chance of a lifetime, to experience love.

'PROTO' is a sci-fi action adventure, about a child-like, experimental robot, set in the robotics lab where he has been built. Although PROTO has been made to fulfill the ambitions of his creator, Prof. Andrews, he learns to find his own dreams and ambitions, and also the strength needed to realise them. The main theme of the film is freedom, both literal and in the ability to choose one's own destiny - to break free of expectations. We wish for the film, while an exciting and fun science fiction, to also capture a magical sense of wonder. PROTO will overcome the expectations and restrictions placed on him and discovering his true self.

Tore Frandsen directs the short film, FOMO FOREVER, in collaboration with The Danish Cancer Society and philanthropic foundation TrygFonden as part of their campaign to prevent binge drinking among young people in Denmark.The film follows a young man through his life, forever suffering from Fear Of Missing Out and regretting the one night he drank too much…
