Two lazy friends (Mimis Fotopoulos and Ntinos Iliopoulos) find a job as ice-cream vendors to pay their back rent. When they start giving ice-cream to poor children for free, their boss, incensed, chases them off, and they take refuge in a nightclub, where they disguise themselves as female dancers. One misunderstanding follows another, until the impresario seeks them out, offering them a job as a comedy routine.

Spiridon Peresiadis (1864 - 1918) was one of the best writers of the dramatic idylls and mountain adventure genre that flourished into the late nineteenth century in Greece. In 1894, Peresiadis wrote Golfo, a story of love, jealousy and betrayal. An unemployed man (Kostas Chatzichristos), prone to endless amusements, economically sucks his uncle (Periklis Christoforidis) in order to satisfy his desires. His despair, when his uncle decides to stop the economic benefits, will lead him to sell some furniture of the house. He sells four armchairs and then he learns that in one of them were hidden precious jewels of the aunt. He looks desperately to find and to get them back, but he only discovers three of them, and in these there is no trace of jewelry. To find the fourth and lucky one, whose traces are completely ignored, he accepts partnered with a friend (Takis Christoforidis). He is transformed into an organized, consistent and good working man, and falls in love with his sister's partner (Stella Stratigou) and discovers that the fourth chair was held by his uncle, who set up this whole story to motivate him and make him active.

Minas, a conscientious and honest employee, is responsible for procurement at the company where he works. His wife, Eva, is a faithful and obedient spouse who embraces her husband's principles, but she enjoys luxury, furs, and jewelry. One day, her husband's boss approaches her and suggests that she recommend one of his suppliers to Minas, without any compensation. Thus begins a story in which, behind her husband's back, Eva earns money, which she justifies as an inheritance from an uncle. However, when Minas discovers her trick, every trickster sits on his bench.
