Post Mortem is a German Crime drama which premiered on 18 January 2007 on RTL with a nine-Episode first Season. In April 2007 the series was renewed for a second season with another eight episodes, which will begin airing on 17 January 2008.

Gisela is a young wife and mother, living in a working class German Housing Scheme. She is a supermarket cashier, her husband a delivery driver. The marriage is stale but together they are working their way up into the middle class. George and Gisela evidently knew each other as teenagers. They live on the same scheme and George introduces her to his friend Paul. There is instant mutual attraction. Gisela spontaneously goes to a party that they invite her to that evening, where she and Paul begin a sexual relationship.

The victim's friend and work colleague, Lasse Jørgensen, is the target of the new investigator duo Svenja Rasmussen and Antoine Haller. Another lead leads the inspector to the Flensburg liquor dealer Philipp Schaaf. There also seems to be a connection between him and the dead. Because photos of Schaaf's daughter Lisa are found on the dead person's cell phone, and Lasse also seems to be involved.
