Biography
Sinan Çetin 1953 yılında Van'da dünyaya geldi, sanatçı 1970’li yıllarda resim ve fotoğraf alanında amatör çalışmalar yaptı. Sinemaya 1975 yılında Zeki Ökten’in çektiği Hanzo adlı filmde asistanlık yaparak başladı. Daha sonra yönetmen Şerif Gören ve Atıf Yılmaz ile birlikte çalıştı. 1977 yılında Hacettepe Üniversitesi Sanat tarihi bölümünden mezun oldu. Aynı yıl Baskın ve ardından Halı Türküsü adlı belgeselleri yönetti. 1980 yılında ilk uzun metrajlı filmi Bir Günün Hikayesi ni çekti ve bu film 1982 Antalya Film Festivali'nde En iyi yönetmen ödülüne layık görüldü. Daha sonra peş peşe Çiçek Abbas, 14 Numara, Çirkinler de Sever, Berlin in Berlin gibi ödüllü filmleri yönetti. Bu arada reklam filmleri ve müzik klipleride yöneten Sinan Çetin, düzene karşı eleştirisini dile getirdiği Propaganda,Komiser Şekspir gibi liberal filmler ile büyük bir gişe hasılatı sağladı. Sinan Çetin’in kendi filmlerini çektiği Plato film adlı bir şirketi bulunmaktadır. Ayrıca Ayn Rand ve Karl Popper gibi filozofların eserlerini yayınladığı bir yayınevi sahibidir. Sinan Çetin bu yayınevini yakın dostu Atilla Yayla'nın da desteğiyle liberal düşünceyi yaymak amacıyla kurmuştur. Sinan Çetin evlidir ve 4 çocuğu bulunmaktadır.

Based on a true event, Pardon tells the tragicomic story of three friends who end up in prison when they are mistaken as members of a terrorist organization. Ibrahim's fear of uniforms makes him runaway whenever he sees one. Because of this, police mistakes him with a terrorist and takes him and his friend Muzo into custody. Fooled by the police during the interrogation they name another friend, Aydin, in hope of saving themselves. As they all end up in prison, they remember the families and lovers they left behind.

During their first attempt to escape the hotel, they see 20 girls who have come to the hotel for a beauty pageant and are stunned. They don't want to leave this paradise-like environment. But flirting with girls and living as women is difficult. He begins taking film of their bedroom encounters and says some pretty excessive things about how marvelous she is to him. Meanwhile, his local friends don't trust or like him enough to help him stay in Istanbul, and it seems that he will have to continue onward in his journey to safety.
