Dansk Melodi Grand Prix is an annual music competition organised by Danish public broadcaster Danmarks Radio, which determines the country's representative for the Eurovision Song Contest. The festival has produced three Eurovision winners and thirteen top-five placings.
At the local Police station in Copenhagen station 2 it's not going too well. They are not solving enough cases and are therefore in danger of the station being closed permanently. In disguise as fake Father Christmas', mysterious criminals start offering "Gufol" candy to children in the streets, the children end up going crazy because of the candy. It's now up to the police officers to stop the craziness and save both Christmas, their station and the kids.
Copenhagen 1984. Ronni is a young, mediocre punk-guitarist, eager to make it big in the death obsessed late-punk milieu. But his girlfriend has left him, the other members of his band are fed up with his incompetence and insecure attitude, he has a problem with his stomach, his doctor wants to abuse him sexually and the former manager of the band thinks Ronni owes him some money. It seems to reach an ultimate low, when Ronni collapses onstage during an all-important concert, but it turns out to be his ticket to glory as he claims to be mortally ill
