It is a comedic parody of celebrity news programs such as Entertainment Tonight and Access Hollywood. The show was developed from David Spade's Hollywood Minute segment on Saturday Night Live.

As a family struggles to survive in rural isolation during the Great Depression, their daughter's secret affair begins a journey into the unknown.

Jake and Kyle are two boys who grew up together in rural Arizona. Jake and Kyle can never forget their strong emotional bond, and Jake, overworked and unattached, goes back to his hometown for the first time in 15 years to see Kyle and renew their special friendship.
