The timid youngest son of the most important family in town must use his wits to win the respect of his strong father and the love of a beautiful new woman in town.

Second release in 'The Spat Family' series of 2-reel comedies. In this episode the three of them win a yacht in a tombola and quarrel over the captaincy while Mrs TS goes swimming and risks getting lost.

Tired of being constantly nagged by "Paul" and another suitor, their shared romantic interest (referred to as Paul's inamorata) purposely has herself arrested for speeding. She vows to marry whichever man is able to get her released from jail. Both men make various, often bumbling, attempts to join her in jail to facilitate her release. After both suitors successfully manage to get themselves locked up, they discover that the woman has already been freed by her father. The film concludes with the two suitors facing actual prison terms while the woman remains free.

The head of a big movie studio is pulling his hair out because the company is bankrupt unless they can find a writer for a smash comedy. An aspiring writer is awaiting outside the office and the producer agrees to see him. He listens while the writer tells his story and acts the numerous parts. The story is rotten, but the producer lets him escape while vowing vengeance on any other author who would read his story aloud.

Edward Everett Horton is scheduled to go on a date with Duane Thompson. She, being only 25, is a schoolgirl at Aileen Manning's girl's school. Horton becomes trapped in the school, trying to avoid headmistress and cops.

SHOOT STRAIGHT - starring Paul Parrott, with Jobyna Ralston, Eddie Baker and George Rowe. A rarely-seen comedy short. Parrott is a hapless hunter in this predecessor to Tex Avery toons of the 1940s, and in a series of inventive gag sequences fails to capture squirrel, rabbit, chinchilla, bobcat, duck, and bear all in one reel.

In the trembling Russian village of Popoffski, a young woman (Katherine Grant) is wooed by a hopeful lover, the son of a humble pool shark (Stan) right under the very nose of her father. When the man proposes marriage to her the father is happy to let her go, seeing as he has nine other children to worry about. As the couple celebrate their love for one another they are approached by a military officer who threatens to take the woman away to use as a court dancer.

A landlord is attending his new tenants' rollicking and well-attended housewarming party. As midnight arrives, a ghostly apparition appears outside the window--and our frightened hero immediately breaks out the shotgun to fend off the phantom menace.

Paul is practicing the art of being a cowboy. He consults a book before firing his gun, climbing onto a saddle on top of a chair and then falling off and dressing his wounds. He then gets back on his 'saddle' and fires his gun again, this time in the direction of another man who has just entered the room. Paul leaves abruptly and rides into town on a horse, and straight through a crowded saloon. A town marshal sees this as act act of bravery and rewards Paul with a sheriff's badge immediately. A fearful rival makes his mark when he lights his cigarette by tossing it into the air and shooting at it to ignite it!

A young cowboy takes a job at a ranch owned by two aging spinsters, unaware that both are completely in love with him.

In this 1922 Pathe-distributed, Hal Roach silent-era comedy, the owner of a local streetcar business is in danger of losing his franchise, but the streetcar operator (played by Paul Parrott) and his girl friend (who happens to be the boss's daughter; portrayed by Jobyna Ralston) try to save the day.

A shy cowboy is interested in the local school teacher, but must compete with a bully for her attention.

Eddie, a prim store salesman, gets locked in overnight and battles hoodlums.
