This short follows Gregor Samsa from Franz Kafka's "The Metamorphosis". It is set in the modern world and shows the events leading up to Kafka's metamorphosis. Gregor is a young man working for a textile company, who breaks down mentally after his job becomes overwhelming. He slowly loses his sanity and touch with reality.

Czech Photographer Josef Koudelka grew up behind the Iron Curtain and always wanted to know "what was on the other side". Forty years after capturing the iconic images of the Soviet invasion of Prague in 1968, the legendary Magnum photographer arrives in Israel and Palestine. On first seeing the nine-meter-high wall built by Israel in the West Bank, Koudelka is deeply shaken and embarks on a four-year project in the region which will confront him once again with the harsh reality of violence and conflict. Director Gilad Baram, Koudelka's assistant at the time, follows him on his journey through the Holy Land from one enigmatic and visually spectacular location to another.

In 2013 Addai joins a salafistic group in Syria. The encounter of Addai's mother with Ilias, a homecomer from Syria, gives rise to invidual fragments, by means of which the story of the son and comrade can be traced.

What's left for an actor who thinks he has done it all? Simon is convinced that he has played every possible character and no roles can challenge him anymore. He's grown bored of acting, but there is one thing that still gets him: The question of how to perfection the role of a dead person. Since no one has ever truly experienced that state and came back to tell the tale, it poses a difficult task. Simon's quest is to accomplish just that.
