Somewhere in the Balkans, 1995. A team of aid workers must solve an apparently simple problem in an almost completely pacified territory that has been devastated by a cruel war, but some of the local inhabitants, the retreating combatants, the UN forces, many cows and an absurd bureaucracy will not cease to put obstacles in their way.
Vatre ivanjske" is a Croatian telenovela. The series started filming on June 2, 2014, and premiered on August 25 on RTL Televizija. It aired from Monday to Thursday at 8:00 PM. The filming of the series concluded on February 13, 2015, and the last episode was broadcast on May 15, 2015. The plot of the series is set in the small, peaceful town of Ivanje, which is disrupted by the arrival of the heiress to a wealthy estate managed for years by Božo Magdić. The entrance of the young doctor Ana Kolar will trigger many unfortunate events but also moments of goodness. Božo's wife, the wicked Elena Župan, will do everything in her power to drive Ana out of Ivanje and, along with Božo, retain control of the estate. Her unscrupulous and spoiled daughter Klara will do everything to separate Ana from Viktor, Božo's son.
Rayne fights against the Nazis in Europe during World War II, encountering Ekart Brand, a Nazi leader whose target is to inject Adolf Hitler with Rayne's blood in an attempt to transform him into a dhampir and attain immortality.

Ankica is the proud owner of a legitimate massage salon, which she runs with her best friend Ljilja. She dreams of keeping her out-of-work husband and adult daughter in comfort while helping Ljilja pay for her son's recurring rehab programs. But in reality, Ankica’s debts are mounting, and she refuses to add happy endings (sexual favors) at the salon to increase revenues. When a loan shark threatens to take her apartment if she does not repay her debt, in desperation, she turns to crime.

In the autumn of 1991, a small group of Croatian soldiers go on patrol in an improvised armored vehicle. Soon after that they would get ambushed and their vehicle would get destroyed, in that situation they were forced to hide in a nearby house. Whilst stationed in that house they would get attacked by rebel Serbs, Serbian Special Forces and the JNA (Yugoslav People's Army, also reffered to as Yugoslavian National Army). Their resistance to the attackers would last 24 hours whilst their fellow combatants would attempt to try and get them out of there. The movie and story is based on true events which happened during the Croatian War of Independence.
After their son has been beaten up in the street, parents find their world of false security collapsing and have to re-examine their lives and question everything into what they believed.
