The film tells about mainly three people - Max, a bored, smart, poor University Professor of Philosophy; Ramzes, a mafia leader, cool, strong, merciless bully and Stella, Ramzes girlfriend.
The story of Basia and Tadeusz, a Polish couple going through a crisis, living in the huge house of Magda Lipińska, Tadeusz's mother. Magda is a domineering mother-in-law who strives for perfection both in business and family matters. Thanks to Basia and Tadeusz, refugees arrive at Magda's house: two Ukrainian women, Anna and little Waria, which turns the protagonist's world upside down.
Contemporary Szczecin. Kasia, a single mother working on a cruise ship, is waiting for true love. One day she meets handsome Piotr, an incorrigible seducer. It turns out that they have met before and even spent the night, but the man remembers neither the circumstances of that meeting nor the woman's name. However, Kasia, despite her disappointment, hopes for a lasting relationship.
