Known For

Hans and Anna – together they make the Hannas: A hefty couple who love to cook. They meet sisters Kim and Nicola, both anorexic and excitingly different. Opposites attract, however, and anything goes, so the Hannas each wind up having an affair without the other’s knowledge. But Kim and Nicola have a secret of their own in store.
The Hannas

Simon is a notoriously suspicious control freak, Lea is more the unconventional type. He has turned his obsession into a profession and works in the security department of a Stuttgart-based food company; ever since he had the employees' access cards fitted with tracking chips, his colleagues have seen him as nothing more than the "Stasi bridge man". Lea dropped out of her degree in food chemistry, is currently working in the company canteen and dreams of driving around in a food truck. She is currently using the old Mercedes bus, a former fire engine that now bears the lettering "Brand Herd", as her accommodation. Two such opposites would never cross paths in real life. In the movie, they can become true love, provided Simon lets himself be kissed awake.

What's Left of My Life

27-year-old Anna and Jonas, who is one year older, get to know each other through their university clique. The initial attraction leads to an unspectacular one-night stand that seems like the beginning of a light summer affair. However, the encounters between the two are also characterized by a lot of friction and provocation. Then something happens that completely changes their lives: after a party with lots of alcohol, the two have sex. Later, Anna thinks she was raped by Jonas. Anna feels traumatized and thinks she can remember her “no.” Jonas, on the other hand, remembers consensual sex. The only person Anna can initially confide in is her sister Daria, who advises her to report the crime. Eventually, those around you also find out about the accusation. Friends have to take a stand. The podcaster Kelly researches the events and tries to explore attitudes and discourses surrounding the case and its effects on victims, perpetrators and those around them.
Nichts, was uns passiert
In 2017, Julia C. Kaiser receives a scholarship as a filmmaker. The only problem is that she can't work. Reasons for this include confusing experiences with the acting production during the shooting of her last film. In order to free herself from this crisis, she organizes a workshop at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media as part of the scholarship. Together with the acting students, she tries to find out in recurring and changing film scenes and acting constellations, as well as in personal conversations, when we play which role - and whether we ever fail to do so.
