Biography

Ganesh is an Indian actor and TV presenter best known for his work in the Kannada film industry. Popularly referred to as "The Golden Star", he is one of the most sought-after actors in the industry and holds several prestigious awards. Ganesh was born on 2 July 1980 in Bangalore to Kishan, of Nepalese descent and Sulochana of Kannada descent. He studied at Basaveshwara English School and then Standard School, both of which are in Bangalore. Although he was admittedly a mischievous child, the young Ganesh frequently participated in skits and dramas throughout school and college. He completed his diploma degree in electronics and began joining theatre groups, acting in numerous Kannada plays.

Pavithra (Manjari Phadnis) scribbles sweet nothings on whatever material she finds, including vegetables and shirts. Her love story with Manu Murthy (Ganesh) begins when she scribbles a sweet note on a bus going to a different city and is surprised to get a reply from someone at the other end. Manu, who is a happy-go-lucky guy, finds out that the messages that he gets and exchanges through the bus, are actually written by a girl. They exchange phone numbers in the same way, but the number gets washed off in the rain. Neither therefore knows the other's identity. Meanwhile, Pavithra's parents arrange for her marriage to a rich boy, who turns out to be Manu. They get married but they don't get along well, and decide to divorce. Do Manu and Pavithra get back together and discover their true identities?

Puru (Dhyan) and Amritha (Ramya) are a couple deeply in love with each other. It is a case of opposite poles attracting. Puru is everything that Amritha is not! The boy is religious and tight-fisted in money matters. His only ambition in life: to construct a house. Amritha likes to splurge and is an atheist. In the course of time, Puru realizes his ambition, and names the dream house as Amrithadhare - a birthday gift to his beloved wife. Everything is hunky dory in their small world. But fate springs an unpleasant surprise on them. Amritha is diagnosed as having brain cancer, and the doctor tells Puru that her days are numbered! A shocked Puru decides to make her remaining days as happy as possible. He takes her on a Bharat darshan. In the process, Amritha realizes a long-standing wish of hers too: to meet her favourite actor Amitabh Bachchan in Mumbai, who makes an appearance in the climax.
