Two brothers Salman and Saleh have a feud with each other. For ending this enmity their children Esmaeil and Rabe'eh are getting married with each other. But on their wedding night the biggest son of Saleh and his friends come and kill some people and injure Salman the groom's father. This brings some bloody consequences for both families.
Tehran, 1948. A young Jewish couple, Danial and his wife Munes, decide to immigrate to the recently founded state of Israel. But their application is rejected on the ground of the documents against Danial's uncle, Yaghub, how is suspected of betrayal. A Zionist agent, named Yezghel, finds out Yaghub's home and stabs him. One of Yaghub's neighbours who witnesses the crime is blamed for murder. Fearing for their lives, Munes and Danial escape to the north of Iran in order to leave the country. The Neighbour's brother, Nuri, a journalist, sets off on their heels to bring them to the court to give testimony on his brother's innocence.

Mr. Abdullah is a benevolent and kind man who owns an old printing house. In addition to supporting his brother Kamal, he also takes care of Yousef, a young man who lost all his family members in the earthquake, and Mr. Abdullah is saving money for his future. Yavar (Reza Beyk Imanvardi), a truck driver, saves Maryam (Arzoo Ghaffari) who has fallen into a well, and meets her brother, Karim (Hossein Gil). Yavar and his student Ali (Mehdi Fakhimzadeh) take Karim to their hometown of Shiraz. Karim accidentally kills a passerby, and Yavar introduces himself to the police instead of Karim. While Yavar is in prison, Karim insults Yavar's sister, Nosrat (Aram), and at the same moment, Qoli Palang (Ahmad Moeini) rapes his own sister. Karim flees to Tehran and, after learning what happened to Maryam, decides to kill her; but his mother stops him. In Tehran, Nosrat meets a singer (Nadia) and takes refuge in her house. Some time later, Yavar is released and looks for Karim. Karim escapes from him and Ali and gets into a fight with a leopard in a ruin outside the city. Eventually, both are injured, and Karim expresses remorse in Yavar's arms before dying. Ali asks Yavar for permission to marry Nusrat.
After a tragic accident of Salman, he can no longer ride a horse in the race. His son now has to fulfill his father legacy of horse racing against all odds.
