And a political ward-heeler, Terrence Dowd, who has a deceptive and dishonest plan to sell them all out in order to build a fight arena. But he meets his match in property-owner Claire Adamson.

Spooney Melodies were a series of live-action musical shorts produced by the Leon Schlesinger Studios during the 1930s that capitalized on the popularity of organ music played in Palace-style movie theaters and were intended to be played as the short before the main feature. This short film is the only surviving example of the series, which was something of a precursor to the animated "Merrie Melodies" cartoons that followed later.

This one features Sammy Fain, supported by Evelyn Hoey and The Eton Boys, singing songs he wrote, including "You Brought a New Kind of Love to Me", "Was That the Human Thing to Do" and "Let a Smile Be Your Unbrella." Sing O Come All Ye Faithful in the Style of "Traditional". Stingray Karaoke Holiday, Christmas - Traditional, English, Key F. O Come All Ye Faithful was one of four short visualizations of church hymns created by Neil McGuire Productions and the (ADA) Audio-visual Devotional Aids of North Hollywood, and released under the banner "Hymnalogue".

To the accompaniment of pipe organ, Edwin C. Hill narrates the story of one of America's most successful woman composers, Carrie Jacobs-Bond, who is seen in silent film footage. Mrs. Bond is shown, at age 71, playing with her two dogs, walking with friends and practicing the piano at home. Her songs, which were phenomenally popular in the early 20th century, are sung off screen by 34-year-old radio baritone Ralph Kirbery, known in the early 1930s as "The Dream Singer." The songs are "A Perfect Day" (1910), "Just a Wearyin' for You" (1901) and "I Love You Truly" (1906).
