Biography

In 1963 - 1967 he studied at the National Academy of Theater and Film Arts - Sofia, Bulgaria - acting for drama theater in the classes of prof. Boyan Danovski. As theater actor Chanev played in Drama Theater, Plovdiv, Bulgaria (1967-69); Drama Theater 'Sofia', Sofia, Bulgaria (1970-90); Little City Theater 'Off the Canal', Sofia, Bulgaria (1990-95). Chanev was artistic director of this theater during the 94-95 years. Since 1995 till nowadays he is an actor in National Theater 'Ivan Vazov', Sofia, Bulgaria. During his career, Chanev has played more than 80 characters in the theater and has starred in more than 30 features, both Bulgarian and foreign. Awards in the theater: 1998 - Best Leading Actor, Theater Festival, Blagoevgrad; 1998 - Best Leading Actor, Festival of the Small Theatrical Forms, Vratza, Bulgaria; 1994 - 'Ackeer' Award supporting male role; 1989 - Best Role Award, Eighth National Drama Festival. Ne is a member of an Union of Bulgarian film makers.The Bulgarian Film Academy 2015 representing the whole film community gives the Award for Best Actor to Rousy Chanev for "Buffer Zone".

Working with a Russian policewoman, they work to uncover a plot to use biological weapons against certain factions of the Russian people to commit genocide. The virus would also be released in other populations, but would be treated making the candidate a hero. A side plot has the agent being reunited with his long lost daughter.

Guttuart goes to Gergovia, the capital of the Arvenes tribe, to attend a meeting of Gallic tribal chieftains. The young boy Vercingetorix, along with his friend the young girl Eponia, sneak into a large cavern where Celtill, Vercingetorix's father and chieftain of the Arvenes, hosts the meeting of chieftains with the intention of proclaiming himself king of all Gauls. When Celtill shows off the crown once worn by the old kings of Gaul, an arrow from two Roman spies (dressed as Gauls) hits Celtill in the back.

Gradually, her superiors become uneasy about her and the girl has to go. Her boyfriend offers her marriage, but she decides to take her own path and lead a worthy life. The movie was shot in 1966 but was censored by the communist government and released in theatres on 31st October 1988.

His wife is American and studies Bulgarian folklore as a way to fight globalization. Rumba wants to buy Jonah's property so he can find the treasure.
