The adventures of Iyami, a con artist who's always looking for a quick buck, and Chibita, his short-statured kid partner-in-crime, as they make trouble for their town and constantly cause friction with the Matsuno sextuplets, a clan of rowdy identical 10-year-old brothers led by the eldest, Osomatsu.

Hidden within Kyoto is the "mirror capital" where youkai and humans live together and no one ever dies. Each episode contains three short stories, an"appetizer", "entree" and "desert". The first two "dishes" of each episode depict the ghostly events that revolve around sixth-grade schoolgirl Ozora Ako. The closing chapter of each episode is a ghost story told by Ako and her classmates.

Karl decides to go and find out what's happened, and opens the door to adventures.
