Nozomu Kotaki

Taizo Kitazawa works as a middle school principal. He has three children. His first child, Hirofumi, is 38 years old and works as a heart surgeon. His second child, Chiaki, is 27 years old and works as a lawyer. The youngest child, Shusaku, is 25 years old and works as a police officer. He is ambitious and has a strong sense of justice. In order to keep happiness in the Kitazawa family, the family uses any means they can. Shusaku comes into conflict between love for his family and professional ethics.

After her parents divorced, Shima Sumitomo lived with her mother. She felt uncomfortable living with her stepfather and she was unable to hang out with people at her high school. Shima Sumitomo decides to move to Hokkaido where her father lives. At her new high school in Hokkaido, she meets classmate Gen Tatebayashi and Wao Sakurai. They are the two most popular boys at her school. A principle of her school is that "Gen and Wao are for everyone." If anyone breaks the rule, that person will be ostracized. Even so, Shima Sumitomo gets closer to Gen and Wao.

The seven members of WEST. embody comedy sketches, songs, dance, and more in this all-contribution variety show that fully supports children's free-spirited ideas. The show's title, "Unpyoko," is a coined word created by the show and refers to "those exciting, free-spirited ideas that pop out when you think about it." Idea submissions are welcomed not only from elementary school kids, but also from adults who still have a childlike heart! WEST. will bring smiles to everyone's faces, from the children's generation to the parents' generation!

In response to this, in 2025, the 11th anniversary of their debut, WOWOW has decided to broadcast and stream a regular program that delves deeper into the appeal of WEST. as artists that they showed in their original live show! Artists who are close to WEST. and artists that WEST. would like to perform with will be invited to the studio to talk about music, and they will even engage in sessions of songs that they have written for WEST. and songs that they would like to sing, making this a music program full of things to see and hear.
